From June 7 to June 11, Cooly Rocks On will celebrate the vehicles, music, and way of life of the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s throughout the city’s parks, streets, and venues. Australia’s most popular nostalgia festival is jam-packed with activities for vintage automobiles, music, and clothing admirers.
Let’s start with the auto enthusiasts. The Show’ N’ Shine show features over 900 vehicles and is a Cooly Rocks On Festival staple. Visit the fantastic Kustomville for great custom autos. Do you want to have an unforgettable experience? Join the Saturday Night Car Cruise on the streets of Coolangatta, and the Car Runs to Balter Brewing or SEVEN82MOTORS.
Fans of music, get ready for the famous roster of international and Australian musicians at Cooly Rocks On 2023! There are also feature programs that Elvis fans will appreciate. A preliminary round of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist (UETA) Competition is at Cooly Rocks On.
Over three exciting days, watch the top Elvis tribute artists compete, with the winner going directly to Elvis Week in Memphis, USA. Also, take a trip down memory lane with several prominent tribute artists and shake, rattle, and roll to the sounds of The King or the Beach Boys.
Finally, vintage fashion enthusiasts, get ready to rock, swing, and dress the part! If you want to update your outfit for the festival, there is a market with retro apparel and vintage souvenir goods. If you’re still not ready to rock out, you may pick up a few tips at Cooly Rocks On’s Rock On Dance Workshops, organised by Cooly natives Gotta Swing.
