How do you feel about going on a holiday and staying right on the beach? How about cooling off in a lagoon-style swimming pool and reaping the healing benefits of a spa and sauna? It’s lovely.

It is possible at Royal Palm Resort in Palm Beach, set between gorgeous Burleigh Heads and Currumbin on the Southern Gold Coast, with popular Gold Coast theme parks, attractions, and shopping destinations only a short drive away.

Speaking of shopping destinations, did you know that the best Gold Coast markets are near Palm Beach? Continue reading our list.

Palm Beach Farmers Markets

For nearly 20 years, The Market Co. GC, initially Your Local Markets, has operated dynamic farmers’ markets on the Gold Coast. These markets highlight fresh local produce, quality meals, and environmentally friendly items. However, it is much more than a traditional shopping experience.

Palm Beach Farmers’ Market is a gathering spot for the Gold Coast community to enjoy outdoor shopping, excellent cuisine, live local music, and a terrific community feel. Palm Beach Farmers’ Market is held every Saturday from 6 am to 11:30 am at Palm Beach Currumbin State High School.

There is plenty of free street parking around the school, particularly along Thrower Drive and Sarawak Avenue and at the neighbouring boat dock and Salk Oval parking lot. Royal Palm Resort is approximately a 5-minute drive or 11-minute walk from the market.

Sanctuary Markets Currumbin

Have you ever visited the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary? The popular destination hosts a Friday market named Sanctuary Markets on The Village Green’s new deck portion, which is open from 4 pm to 9 pm. The local and international food and artisan market debuted in September 2014 and became a local and visitor favourite.

Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Brazilian, Turkish, Venezuelan, South African, and Chilean cuisines are available at Sanctuary Markets. Additional artisan vendors in Green’s undercover area and a produce market in the Sanctuary’s parking lot sell Asian greens, fresh produce, eggs, and Australian seafood. The Sanctuary also has a bar that serves boutique beers from Burleigh Brewery and Sirromet Wines.

The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is only a 5-minute drive away or a breathtaking 25-minute walk along some of the Gold Coast’s most beautiful coastline. You can visit early to enjoy the animal encounters, then head to the market in the afternoon.

The Village Markets

Here’s another. The Village Markets is only a 10-minute drive away and is dedicated to assisting creative local companies. The Village Markets has provided a forum for innovative small businesses to develop their brands and showcase their products both online and offline since 2008.

Visit the award-winning boutique market at Burleigh Heads YUGAMBEH LAND every first and third Sunday of the month for a one-of-a-kind experience featuring various stalls selling beauty, lifestyle, and fashion items, as well as art and antique items. From 8.30 am to 1.00 pm, the market will also feature pre-loved designer and vintage Rack Sales, street food stalls, live music, and good vibes at Burleigh Heads State School.

The Gold Coast Art and Craft Markets – Coolangatta is placed directly on the beach, providing consumers with a spectacular view. It’s also a terrific place to shop since the market has the most excellent local artisans and street food chefs from the Northern Rivers and the Gold Coast. The Coolangatta market is held on the second Sunday of each month in Queen Elizabeth Park, directly across from The Strand Shopping Centre. It means that parking will not be an issue. The Gold Coast Art and Craft Markets – Coolangatta is only a 15-minute drive.

Miami Marketta

Every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 5 pm, Miami Marketta, the original Gold Coast street food market, comes alive with street food, art, and live music from across the world!

The street might look like it’s in Bangkok, Barcelona, or New York, but it’s right here on the Gold Coast. This international eating alley is a terrific spot for families and groups to savour world flavours. Take an appetizer from Spain, the main course from Thailand, and dessert from France. There is seating for up to 500 people at any given moment. This licensed establishment serves local boutique beer and wine – no byo.
