The Royal Palm Resort is located in Palm Beach, on the Southern Gold Coast, between the picturesque Burleigh Heads and Currumbin. Swimming, surfing, and kayaking are all popular activities in Palm Beach. Popular Gold Coast attractions such as Burleigh Head National Park, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, and Palm Beach Pirate Treasure Island Playground, as well as shopping centres, are also within a short drive.

After a day of fun and adventure, why not treat yourself to a romantic dinner with a view? Or, even better, begin your day at a lovely coffee shop and start the day off right! Here are eight Palm Beach restaurants close to Royal Palm Resort Palm Beach accommodation that you need to take full advantage of whilst staying with us:

1. Dune Café

Dune Café is located within the Palm Beach Parklands and overlooks Currumbin Lagoon, just a few steps from our resort. The perfect spot for a delicious breakfast and a cup of coffee whilst overlooking the picturesque views of Currumbin

The cafe serves a wide range of breakfast and lunch items and a takeaway menu. Why not try their Blueberry Organic Spelt Pancakes, Granola Bowl, Smoked Salmon Benny On Artisan Croissant, or Dune Big Brekkie with a cup of coffee or tea? Smoothies, healthy tonics, and juice are also available.

2. Barefoot Barista

Barefoot Barista is a cafe that serves delicious food, coffee, booze, and music. The food at the cafe is both fresh and nutritious. They only use locally sourced ingredients in their menu. They are open daily at 5 a.m., and dishes like serving avocado sourdough, acai bowls, Korean pork belly, piri piri chicken burgers, and zucchini halloumi fritters & salad. The cafe also offers a wide range of beverages, including coffee, hot chocolate, tea, cold press juice, and smoothies. And you can enjoy all of these while gazing out at the pumping Palm Beach waves.

3. Burgster

We all have a craving for burgers from time to time, right? The Burgster, a restaurant inspired by the hipster culture of Brooklyn’s Williamsburg warehouses, is a must-see. Indeed, their interior features tattoo-style street art, exposed brick, and industrial finishes, as well as a small but fully stocked bar. It is stocked with wines sourced locally.

Burgster also offers weekly specials such as Wings Wednesday, Cheeseburger Thursday, and Oyster Friday. Burgster, by the way, has an intimate and inviting space with Third Base Coffee.

4. Third Base

Locally owned Third Base has a friendly and casual atmosphere, which is why locals enjoy meeting and eating here. Their talented chefs have created a menu that everyone will enjoy when it comes to food. They offer a variety of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free dietary options that can be consumed in-house, via takeout, or via delivery.

All Day Breakfast options include Bacon Benn and Berry Nice Pancakes or Toasties and Burgers like Bacon and Egg Turkish and Vegan Brekky Burger. Then, pair your meal with a cup of coffee or loose leaf tea. There are also vegetarian and vegan options such as Affogato and Chai-ffogato. Shakes, acai bowls, and juices are also available.

5. Balboa Italian Restaurant

Do you have a strong desire for Italian cuisine? Balboa Italian Restaurant is the ideal location and only a 1 minute drive or a short 10 minute walk from Royal Palm Resort. Since 2016, the restaurant has been bringing Italy to the Gold Coast. They work hard to source the best local and imported ingredients and combine traditional Italian techniques with modern interpretations. As a result, they can give the highest quality dining experience.

Pizza, salads, pasta, gnocchi, and risotto are available on their extensive menu. You can even get gluten-free pizza and pasta, and vegan options are available for the rest of the menu.

6. The Scottish Prince

The Scottish Prince was founded in 2017 by the same people who founded The Cambus Wallace, one of the Gold Coast’s oldest and most renowned cocktail bars. The restaurant, one of Palm Beach’s best, was named after the ship of the same name, which ran aground on the Gold Coast in 1887.

Find the large wooden door hidden down the lane if you want to visit The Scottish Prince. There, you can eat rustic home-style food or sip one of the 450 whiskies on offer. The restaurant has a fantastic bar with hundreds of whiskies from all over the world and delicious cocktails.

However, they also serve a dinner reminiscent of traditional British pub fare with a delicious Gold Coast twist. They offer gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and vegetarian options and a healthy children’s menu.

7. The Collective Palm Beach

Do you want to go to an epic dining destination? The Collective Palm Beach, as the name suggests, has five kitchens serving American, Asian, Italian, Greek, and Mexican cuisine. The foodie hub has an ample, beautiful open space to seat up to 300 people.

The Collective Palm Beach has a breezy indoor-outdoor vibe that includes cosy bench seating, greenery, a pink frangipani tree, umbrellas, festoon and fairy lighting for after dark. When it gets too hot or rains, a series of retractable roofs will keep you cool or warm.

Best of all, it’s only a short 7 minute walk from your apartment at Royal Palm so you can kick back and listen to some live music and have a few cocktails without the worry of driving.

8. Tango Gelato

Let’s finish the night off with dessert! How about ice cream, everyone’s favourite cold dessert? Tango Gelato, a locally owned and operated business, is now open in Palm Beach QLD, where you can sample their freshly handcrafted ice cream and sorbet. Tango Gelato only uses the finest ingredients to ensure the highest quality and taste.

The shop has interesting flavours and is always adding to their list, including Blackcurrant Pastille, Blood Orange Sorbet, Boysenberry, Chocolate Rum & Raisin, Ginger & Dark Chocolate, Licorice Mint, and Rum & Raisin. The brand new Palm Beach store is in the Pavilions Shopping Centre.
